Mid-way through her seven-date North American tour of Peaches Christ Superstar, Peaches next heads out to the west coast, soon to arrive in LA for a show at the Orpheum Theater on Friday Dec. 17th.

Following last week’s appearance at Art Basel in Miami, Florida, Peaches is now headed in the direction of Boston, MA, in anticipation of her 7-date North American tour of Peaches Christ Superstar feat. Chilly Gonzales!!

The show has its US Premiere on Friday 10th at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, before moving on to New York, Chigaco, L.A, San Francisco and Toronto. See full details below.

Kicking off a new round of Peaches [Christ Superstar] shows in North America next month, Peaches and her band Sweet Machine will shortly be jetting out to Miami, Florida, to perform a special secret laser show at Art Basel Miami; “the most important art show in the United States”!

The group premiered their special laser show earlier in September at the Berlin Festival. The show was a huge hit; featuring laser harps, laser shooting drums and even a “living discoball”,  thanks to Bella Berlin. Danni Daniels, our special post-op performer, was also on the scene to give a helping hand.

We’d like to send out a very special thank you to geniuses at LICHTWERK, without whom the laser show wouldn’t have been possible!! Check out some of their awesome projects here.

Today Peaches announced that she has added an additional date to her US & Canadian tour of Peaches Christ Superstar feat. Chilly Gonzales on piano – at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY, on the 12th December.

This extra performance has been added as a result of the Boston & New York shows having already  SOLD OUT!! The tickets for Brooklyn go on sale Friday 19th. You can buy tickets HERE.

We’d like to give a big shout out to those silicone wizards BABES ‘N’ HORNY this week – for the ingenious props they created especially for the PEACHES DOES HERSELF show last month in Berlin!

Babes and Horny are a London based company that specialize in unique, hand-made silicone dildos, butt plugs and strap-ons.

On special request, Babes ‘n’ Horny was asked to produce a few “bits n pieces” for the Peaches show – namely, Peaches’ mighty impressive post-op golden dick and the gruesome “broker” dildo – a painfully intricate piece of work; bound to have every guy squirming in his seat!

Babes n Horny also created the harnesses for the White Swan and Black Swan costumes, worn by the incredible Danni Daniels.

Happy Birthday Peaches!

Ever noticed that Peaches’ birthday falls on 11th day of the 11th month?? Ever heard of the freaky 11:11 phenomenon -”the wake-up calls from the Spirit Guardians”; “the pre-encoded trigger and the key to the mysteries of the universe and beyond“!!??

According to paranormal numerology, the mysterious appearance of 11:11 on digital clocks, VCRs, microwaves and mobile phones represents “the physical and spiritual merging of your soul”!

Listen to Uri Geller’s prophetic words: “For those of you who have know that 11:11 was something special, we now need you to come forth into positions of leadership.”

So, let’s see where Peaches will take us next year- 1.1.11!!!

After four packed-out performances, Peaches brought her extraordinary ‘Peaches Does Herself’ musical to a climactic end on the 31st October, smack back on time for a crazed Halloween after-party at the White Trash Club!!

We had visitors from all over Europe coming to see the show, and we’ve had countless mails from fans lamenting the fact that they couldn’t be in Berlin to see it. Luckily, for those who missed it, we’ve got bucket-loads of pics for you to feast yer eyes on!

Only a few more days to go until the Premiere of the epic Peaches Does Herself musical at the Hebbel Theater in Berlin!!!

The crew moved into the theater late last week to start setting the stage and squeeze in a few last runs of the show before Thursday’s performance. There’s activity in every little corner of the building!!

Here’s your second little peek at the production!!

Its been a week of full-on rehearsing for Peaches & her theatre crew in Berlin, as they prepare for NEXT WEEK’S PREMIERE of Peaches Does Herself at the Hebbel Theatre!

The team are gathered in the studio as we speak; the choreographers, dancers, designers, directors, technicians, and of course the band – and they’re gonna be hard at work for another week of scheduled rehearsals!

Here’s a little intro we shot during the first days of rehearsing. We’ve got more coming up soon!

On September 1st Peaches was invited to DJ at the opening of the 11th Edition of the ‘Circuito Off Venice International Short Film Festival’ in Venice, Italy. There she caught up with her crazies for a quick tour of the city before hitting Lido’s Blue Moon Beach party, organized by Berlin’s White Trash Club.

You might recognize some of the wild bunch from previous posts here on the blog, like the fabulous Danni Daniels, who you might have seen recently dancing in a Peaches show!

Mignon, who’s set to release her new album ‘Kiss of Death‘, was also attendance! She recently performed as the fake Peaches in the Peaches Wheelchair Show this past summer. Check out her website.

Mad Kate is a performance artist/singer who is a member of the circus collective art-rock band Bonaparte and the cabaret punk act Kamikaze Queens.  See link for more info!

That’s right folks, its the 10 Year Anniversary of Peaches debut album “The Teaches of Peaches”!! and to celebrate Peaches has decided to create an entire OPERA centered around her four albums Teaches of Peaches, Fatherfucker, Impeach My Bush and I Feel Cream.

In recent years the Jukebox musical has become very popular; where the musical works of an artist are put to a fictional subject. Peaches calls this extravaganza the ‘Anti Jukebox musical’. She has created an absurd themed Opera (there will be no dialogue besides the songs themselves) that will represent her work and her concerns about gender, beauty and age.
Expect big dance numbers, odes to favorite past musicals and fantastic surprise guests.

Peaches: “I want it to be a fantastical musical that broadway would never be able to present.”

Peaches heads to Korea later this week to install her ‘Fan Base’ for the exhibition ‘No More Heroes & Daughters’ at the Aram Art Gallery in the Goyang Cultural Foundation.

For the project ‘Fan Base’ Peaches has created a cave where all the items that were thrown on stage to her during Peaches shows hang like stalactites. On the back wall of the cave is an edited video of 30 different live Peaches  performances for the song ‘Fuck the Pain Away’ sung spontaneously by 30 separate audience members who were spontaneously  invited up during these shows.

‘Fan Base’ was already shown at 2007 La 5e Biennale de Montreal. More items have been added and will continue to be added from more recent concerts.

Curated by Jung Me & Eujung Kim, the exhibition will feature many internationally renowned artists such as Ho-Jun Song, Thomas Eller, Jan Peter E. R. Sonntag and Katharina Sieverding, among others.

The show opens on the 6th October.

Just a little head’s up for Peaches fans in NYC tonight -

Chilly Gonzales’ ‘existential sports film’ film ‘Ivory Tower’ featuring Peaches, will premiere tonight at the Galapagos Art Space, Brooklyn. And Gonzales will be there to perform a special half-hour solo-piano set before the screening!

Doors 6:30pm, Show 7:30pm.

Fresh from her appearance at the Berlin Festival, Peaches arrived in New York this week to take part in friend and former stylist Vaughan Alexander’s show in the fashion week with his label ‘Verlaine‘.

Peaches has been invited to arrange the music for the show.

Many of you will be familliar with Vaughan’s work – even if you don’t recognize the name – who has supported Peaches throughout her career with an incredible amount of costumes – both for the  live shows and for music videos.

You’ll have seen the legendary white tombstone leather jacket and matching hotpants he created for the ‘Fatherfucker’ tour, the silver and black leather outfits of the ‘Impeach my Bush’ tour with the Herms. And there’s no way you could miss the big pink ball costume, the gold cape, the ‘fuck you’ body suit or the jokers black and gold leather costume from the ‘I Feel Cream’ tour!!

Plenty of his designs have featured in Peaches music vids too – like the pink hotpants and jacket combo in the ‘Kick it’ video, all of the costumes for Peaches and the band in ‘Boys wanna be her’ and in the white leather bathing suit in the ‘I Feel Cream’ video, which he styled!

When asked how she came to meet Vaughan, she told us “Vaughan met me right before my show in NYC in 2002, looked me up and down, disappeared and then showed up with leather hot pants which fit me perfectly!”

Here’s a little blast from the past to coincide with Peaches and Vaughan’s slot at the NYC fashion week this week alongside a little show-reel of some of the marvellous costumes Vaughan has created over the years!

This week Peaches and Sweet Machine are holed up in an industrial hanger out in west Berlin, having regrouped with all the gear they’ll need for this weekend’s LIVE LASER SHOW at the BERLIN FESTIVAL!!

Technically speaking, a midi-Laser Show is no mean feat! So the gang are hard at work right now; programming, choreographing and rehearsing intensely for the show.

Here’s what the Berlin Festival site has to say about it:

“Now she discovered laser for herself, and from now on stage performances will never be the same again. Instruments and tool are totally yesterday’s news. By disrupting various laser beams, Peaches creates electronic soundscapes, and adds even a little coreography to her performance that should definitely not be missed. No wonder, she’s a special guest on BNR stage at Berlin Festival this year in order to celebrate “1o Years of Teaches of Peaches.”

Fri 20th August 2010 -

Peaches and crew roll through the wonderful town of Lausanne, Switzerland on their way to the ‘For Noise Festival’, anticipating the very final wheelchair-bound set of the tour!!

A miraculous thing happened in Lausanne – it must have had something to do with the swelling up of powerful psychic energies in that little Swiss valley, or the sheer potency of humanity gathered before that little stage – whatever the reason, Peaches cast off those weighty bandages and walked again; healed!!!

Witnesses described the scene – telling of a shadow that passed across the stage and lifted the bandages from the leg.

Yet not long after the recovery a cruel twist of fate befell The Fake Peaches: leaping from the drum riser (sound familiar?) and not quite getting her footing right, she ended the show in the chair, after suffering serious damage to the ligaments in her right leg.

Doctors say it’ll take another six weeks before she can walk again.

Anyhow, enough preamble, lets see The Final Wheelchair Show!!!

Fresh from a GWAR concert in Berlin on 18th August, with blood-stained skin and hair, Peaches and Sweet Machine boarded the bus for the last run of the wheelchair show!!

Two final dates at the Frequency Festival, Austria and Lausanne Noise Festival, Switzerland brought an incredible 18 months of touring to an end!!!
