Melbourne-based artist Jasmin Tarasin recently took time out from her hectic schedule to pay a fleeting visit to Berlin in order to finish shooting I Feel Cream’s remaining video : MUD, fulfilling Peaches’ promise to create a video for each and every song on the album!
The collaboration comes shortly after Peaches appeared in Tarasin’s large scale video installation ‘Live: An intimate Video Study of the Art of Performing’which featured more than 20 world renowned singers and musicians performing a song of their choice in a stark and simple setting, with accompaniment from guitar at most. Jarvis Cocker, Warren Ellis, Feist, Rufus Wainwright, Juliette Lewis are just a few others who contributed to the project.
The exhibition premiered at Sydney’s Lower Town Hall in January 2011 as part of the Sydney Festival. Tarasin hopes to bring the project to Europe and the US in the near future.
